About us
Negre Herzing Ceramics Studio is a 2 person project, based on the work of Nuri Negre Herzing, a ceramics artist that has been involved with ceramics since 1990 mostly in producing art works and currently developing exclusive homeware product lines produced by hand, avoiding mass production.
“With my work I hope to bring the natural world and its forms into your homes through the permanent beauty of fired earth, in a simple and minimal design that enhances the form in its purest way. Living in a secluded area in the middle of the forest my creative process is a reflection of the rhythms of nature and the shape of the clay is imbued with a sense of reverence for the natural world. The form of my pieces echoes the design found in leaves, rocks and flowing water.
Along with my husband, who takes responsibility for some of the non creative aspects involved with the business, I put all my effort in bringing you some objects that help you create a space of calmness and visual rest in your home, inviting to pause, reflect and reconnect with the elemental forces that shape our existence and offering a glimpse into the profound beauty and harmony of life in its purest form.”
